In order to apply for a loan in danish banks you usually need to provide the bank with an annual tax statement from the tax authorities. The central tax authorities in Denmark has made an interface such that this statement can be sent digitally to the bank from the authorities after the citizen has signed an acceptance. This acceptance is based on OpenSign/OpenLogon. The solution makes a loan application much easier to handle for the bank as well as for the customer. This way a customer can apply for a loan 24-7 over the internet and have the money ready on the account in 10 minutes. The internet bank Skandiabanken was the first bank to use this opportunity.
Furthermore the tax authority uses OpenLogon if you (eg. as an accountant or spouse) are granted authority to view or edit tax information on behalf of another citizen.
